40 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING! 
WHY 40 DAYS? 

"Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed. My eyes will flow unceasingly, without relief, until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees."  Lamentations 3:48-50

Throughout the Bible there are numerous examples of godly leaders who sought God for guidance, provision and refuge over a period of 40 days: Moses spent 40 days and nights with God before delivering the Ten Commandments (Exodus 24:18).

Twelve men spent 40 days exploring Canaan (Numbers 13:25) before entering the land God had given them. Elijah traveled 40 days to meet with God (1 Kings 19: 8). Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the desert, giving His life to the Father before beginning His ministry on this earth. (Matthew 4: 2) Although a period of 40 days in itself is not magical, there is something biblical and dynamic about the reality of a deliberate and specific period focused on prayer. When we set our sights on seeking the Lord and His will for our lives, He responds with power and grace. Our love and search for God becomes even deeper. God gives direction to our leadership in a clear and biblical way. Our Mission is transformed because we are transformed.

Dear Friends in Christ,

I am trusting Lord that you are finding peace in the midst of this challenging time of pestilence when most of the world lives the fear of corona virus. I believe this is the time to prayerfully ask God to use COVID-19 to reveal His glory and to help us grow stronger in our faith and as one nation under God. So as most of the country shuts down and we find ourselves stranded within the "comfort of our own homes" I strongly feel that this is the time Yahovah is leading us to draw ourselves more closely to Him through prayers & fasting. Needs behind that call to pray & fast might be different every time but reason is the same - we need God - We need His help and mercies - We need His intervention. We need His healing power. Amen
So please join me every night at 8 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), starting March 23rd through May 1st for praying & fasting together.

40 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING –

Throughout the scriptures we learn about the importance of praying and fasting while “Asking, Seeking and Knocking” especially during the times of trials and sufferings. In the light of current events, team VOC & I would like to invite all of you to join us in 40 days of prayer and fasting. Starting March 23rd, we will fast and pray every day and join online 8-00 pm EDT daily to offer corporate prayers on behalf of our nation.

We will ask Father God that this time of prayer & fasting will have a powerful impact on our country and world and will bring miraculous relief and healing all over the world from current pandemic of corona virus. We will also pray for our administration, leadership and management and God’s guidance for them on daily basis as they try to use their best abilities to steer our nation out of this pandemic situation.

WHAT IS THE INVITATION?

40 Days Of Prayer & Fasting is an invitation to each one of us to pray and fast to God to move powerfully in our personal, local, national and internal communities to not only bring super natural healing and cure to “Corona virus and many other forms of illness but also a revival of faith and trust and worldwide church movement to win the un-reached for Christ.

WHAT ARE WE PRAYING FOR & HOW?

The heart and theme of the 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting is to pray and fast individually and then towards the end of the day join ONLINE USING “ZOOM” AND PRAY TOGETHER FOR 60 MINUTES DAILY.
